8 Signs a Long-Term Relationship is Ending

There is nothing more fulfilling than finding someone you can love,
grow close with, and stay with forever. And while at the beginning of
the relationship it may seem like you’ve found your soul mate, it
may begin to feel like things are fizzling out. You probably want to
stay with someone you’ve committed to, but all long-term
relationships do not last forever. If you’ve seen any of the
following signs in your relationship, it may be an indication that
it’s time to walk away. Here are 8 signs that a long relationship
is ending.

You do not
communicate.

You may be finding
that you have nothing to talk about anymore, and you no longer share
the same interests. This is a sign that the two of you are growing
apart.

Someone has been
unfaithful.

A major sign that a
relationship is on its last leg is if one party cheats and is
unfaithful. This means either there is a trust issue, or one of you
no longer feels fulfilled by the relationship.

They constantly
stress you out.

If they love you
felt for this person has succumbed to stress, anxiety and
disagreements, you may have lost the ability to experience joy
through your interaction with your partner. This is never good in a
relationship.

They bring out
the worst in you.

Your partner should
be a source of inspiration and motivation to be your best self. But
if your relationship is ending, you may find that they only seem to
bring out your negative qualities now.

You don’t
support one another.

If you really love
someone, you feel the desire to support their dreams and hobbies, no
matter how strange or obscure they may be. If not are not their
biggest cheerleader and vice versa, you may have come to a place
where you just don’t care for each other as much as you used to.

You don’t spend
time together.

If you’ve become
really uninterested in each other, you are likely never spending time
together anymore. This just shows an emotional disconnect and
distance manifesting in our physical interactions.

You start to see
them as more of a friend.

Most people in
long-term relationships end up being best friends. But with all the
aforementioned problems, you may realize that the relationship is
more friendly than love. This indicates a major change in your
feelings for them, and means you are better off just ending the
relationship and being friends, if possible.

Everything you’ve
tried has failed.

You may have already noticed that things feel off. Because you love this person, you’ve tried to save the relationship because you really love them. But none of your efforts have been successful. No amount of date nights, couples therapy or attempts at intimacy are making headway. This is a sure-fire sign that sadly your relationship is ending.
